French born Australian contemporary painter,Christine will be showing several of her evocative abstract paintings in the gallery in the September exhibition.
Christine masterfully employs the formal elements of shape, colour and texture to subtly suggest a response to time, place and culture. Her canvases can be read as an introspective diary of both personal and a wider cultural significance. Christine presents fragments recollecting journeys taken and places visited. Her distinctive abstract language gives her work a timeless quality and a universal relevance. She has a fresh experimental approach to media, using collage, impasto, glazing effects and sumptuous gold leaf.
Christine has an impressive international exhibiting history and is represented in collections internationally.
