Erica Gray
Erica Gray has an extensive background in the fashion industry, a keen interest in all textile art forms, a sense of humour and a creative imagination. These qualities set the stage for a creative leap into the fabrication of soft sculpture. Through her pattern drafting experience and by combining interesting fabrics with tiny hand sewn stitches, Erica creates these unique and quirky sculptures. From animal trophy heads on the wall to phones that have animal tendencies or anger issues, her sculptures seem to bounce with their own kind of personality. They are very collectable for the home owner with an eye for a dramatic talking point.
Erica’s work has been exhibited in events such as The Swell Sculpture Festival, Spare Parts 2010 and the Duke Gold Coast Art Prize - displaying a variety of both indoor & outdoor sculpture. Erica lives and works on Queensland's Gold Coast.
