Karena Wynn-Moylan
Karena will be showing works in the "30 days hath September..." show in the gallery in September 2010.
Karena has an extremely impressive background in the art world over several decades. As a teenager she mixed with the luminaries of the Australian art world such as John and Sunday Reid, John Perceval and Mirka Mora. She has worked in many creative endeavours including the production of her book "Byron Portfolio" which was launched in Paris with an exhibition of the work.
The Australian seascape is a subject that has been neglected by decades of artists and curators, relegated to the "Sunday painter" syndrome. Karena's new exhibition will redress this imbalance with her breathtaking canvases of the sea and cloudscapes of our glorious coastline. These are images everyone will relate to.
Karena now lives in the heart of Bangalow in Northern New South Wales and is heavily involved in community arts projects and teaching from her studio.
Her work is represented in collections internationally.
The following images are just a selection of those in the exhibition. You need to visit the gallery to appreciate the grandeur of these canvases.
