Kate French
Mt Tambourine resident Kate French is a new addition to the gallery in 2008.
Her highly recognisable oeuvre of ceramic busts of women from the early decades of the 20th century are delightful in their whimsy and sculptured detail. These heads are lifesized, created from buff raku clay and adorned with found objects. They make wonderful companions in a lounge or sitting room.
Kate is in much demand as a tutor in sculptural ceramics both nationally and internationally. We welcome her to our stable of serious Queensland sculptors.
