Gallery Profile
Robyn Bauer Studio Gallery opened in September 2005. It is situated in the heart of Brisbane’s Paddington Gallery Precinct amongst the restaurants, cafes and boutiques of cosmopolitan Latrobe Terrace. There are now eight art galleries along this section of Latrobe Terrace, making it Brisbane's most exciting street for those interested in the original and the dynamic.
It is managed by artist Robyn Bauer whose working studio is attached to the gallery, and husband Tom Hayes.
Robyn has an Honours degree in Art History from the University of Queensland, a Diploma of Education from Queensland University of Technology, a Diploma in Design and Decorative Art, and extensive teaching experience in both Art History and painting. She has worked as Education Officer at the Queensland Art Gallery, has taught at the Brisbane Institute of Art and also at Queensland University of Technology. She is a practising painter and sculptor. She has done portrait commissions for many years.

The exhibition space consists of a large open area and several more intimate adjoining spaces, a large covered back deck and a rooftop terrace overlooking the city. The large outdoor sculpture gallery will be completed mid 2009. The gallery has access for the disabled and a rooftop deck which commands extensive views over Brisbane and the mountains to the south-west.
